 Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test, abbreviated as APSET 2013 for simplicity. This year’s SET 2013 has been successfully organized on 22nd October. Thousands of applicants have managed to appear for the examination. APSET 2013 Answer Key will be declared shortly on  www.apset.org.

APSET 2013 Details

Osmania University organizes the APSET examination each year. It was granted charge shortly after Andhra Pradesh College Service Commission was decommissioned. APSET examination is a qualifying platform for the recruitment of Lecturers (Lectureship) and Ass. Professors in state recognized universities.

APSET 2013 constitutes of 27 subjects. Education ministry of India, envisioned of an intuitive qualification examination to set a standard for lecturers and the teaching staff of a few of the top reputed universities/Educational institutes in the world.

Although, APSET is similar to UGC Net examination in several aspects, the only difference is SET has local university scope, while the latter has national-wide university scope. Necessity for Telugu based examination and more flexibility over the state university drove the Government to constitute a separate body (Osmania university) to conduct a seperate / independent examination.

APSET 2013 basically constitutes of 3 sessions, set for 3 different papers. The first paper consists of general questions to assess the analytically and logical thinking of the applicant. It scores a total of 100 marks. The second and third papers consist of only subject (Including specialization) based questions.
